These days, Baryn Futa has a deep appreciation for the arts that manifests itself in many ways. He now owns an ever-growing art collection and he loans pieces to museums. He is also dedicated to making sure artists are able to thrive but supporting them economically. Baryn Futa also holds memberships in many prominent art museums with impressive collections of their own, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and The Jewish Museum.
What makes Baryn Futa different is that he has not always had such a keen appreciation for the arts. In fact, it wasn’t until he decided to retire and take a position with the Denver Art Museum that something sparked inside him that gave him a deep appreciation for the importance of the arts on every society and culture. That move engendered a passion for art that led to his cultivation of what has since become a deep understanding of the arts and art history. He took art classes, and he attended many arts fairs, museum and gallery exhibitions and anything else he could find that would satisfy his curiosity and teach him more.
